Fears of bad chemicals in Barron River

FRESH concerns have surfaced about potentially harmful chemicals going untested in drinking water sourced from the Barron River.
James Cook University Professor Jon Brodie, from the Australian Centre for Tropical Freshwater Research, told a group of concerned Kuranda residents on Sunday that the Tableland Regional Council was testing the water from the Barron River for chemicals that had not been used by farmers for decades.
